Legendary NBA coach Phil Jackson finally made the foray into social media, after it was announced by fiancee Jeannie Buss this past Wednesday that Jackson had joined Twitter. Two things you have to know about his first official day of tweeting—one is that his avatar is awesome in its simplicity, and two, Jackson has a lot to learn about Twitter. First the avatar… Yep, Jackson went with a picture of his 11 NBA championship rings, a subtle reminder every time you read one of his tweets that his life is not only better than yours, it has a lot more bling in it too. As for Jackson’s first and only tweet, it’s definitely open for interpretation… 11 champ;ipnsikp[ ringhs — Phil Jackson (@PhilJackson11) March 27, 2013 Either that's something so zen that us mere mortals cannot understand or comprehend the message that Jackson is trying to convey, or the former Lakers head coach tried his hand at tweeting while wearing all eleven rings at the same time. Whatever the case may be, I'm sure it won't take long for Phil to master Twitter and begin imparting wisdom on his over 100,000 (for now) followers.
