Michigan State head football coach Mark Dantonio has a hankering for trick plays. And most of them work out well for the Spartans, but he failed miserably on his play call during the teams’ annual Green & White end-of-spring scrimmage Saturday.
During the first quarter, Sparty, the MSU mascot lined up in the backfield and took a handoff from redshirt freshman quarterback...
Saturday was the day Michigan State fans knew former standout quarterback Kirk Cousins would hear his name called by an NFL team during the final day of the 2012 draft. Cousins was not the only Spartan to get the call or sign with a team following the final pick of the day.

If there was one thing that could be extrapolated from the Spartans annual spring game, it was that this is still a defense-heavy team.

After dealing with Derrick Nix’s marijuana-related arrest, the green and white just received some more bad news about a former player.
Graduated guard and Valpo transfer Brandon Wood was arrested Sunday morning in Chicago for allegedly assaulting and battering a woman.

East Lansing, Mich. — Even though the calendars says the date is April 28th, there definitely was a fall feeling in the air, as the Michigan State Spartans held their annual Green-White game in which the white team won 14-2.
While the game had a fall feeling to it, the play was far from what is expected of the Spartans come the beginning of the season.
