IRVING How can such an athletically gifted wide receiver like Dez Bryant finish a game with only three catches for 17 yards? Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo gave his answer to that question Thursday at Valley Ranch. "I think you're going to see different guys have big games at different times," Romo said. "A lot of it is just dictated off the defensive coverages and what they're doing. Sometimes games are going to go differently. Kevin (Ogletree) had a big game and wasn't targeted as much, based off of coverage and what the situations were this last week. "At the same time, possessions sometimes dictate it, and we only had a small number in that football game last week." Bryant totaled the 17 yards Sunday in a 27-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. It was the least amount of receiving yards Bryant's had in a game since his 2010 rookie season. The Cowboys surely need more production from Bryant going forward. But what does Romo need from Bryant? "I just think Dez needs to come to work everyday like he's doing and continue to get better as a wide receiver," Romo said. "I think he's doing that." Follow Jon Machota on Twitter: @jonmachota
