For a lot of athletes, Whitney Houston’s death has had at least some impact on their lives in recent days. Some might have been familiar with her music or movies. Some might have seen her in person at a concert or an event. Others might have come to know her (more unflatteringly) from the covers of supermarket tabloids during her battle with addiction. But perhaps for no athlete has the iconic singer’s passing affected more than Phoenix Suns guard Shannon Brown. Brown is married to R&B singer Monica, who saw Houston as a mentor. Brown told Marc Spears of Yahoo!
