Two of those will be decided in the Sprint Showdown Saturday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway. But the third and final open position will be determined by the fan votes. As of 2:30 p.m. ET Saturday, with more than 2.3 million votes cast, the top five in the voting were AJ Allmendinger, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Bobby Labonte, Joey Logano and Martin Truex Jr. Allmendinger will start from the pole position in the qualifying race, while Earnhardt Jr. topped the lone practice session for the race.
