In a special video feature from Showtime and Showtime boxing, right here you can take a look at life outside the ring for Abner Mares, winner of the bantamweight tournament and one of the sport's hottest young stars. Mares talks about his family, his background, how he got started in the sport and much more, and it's a revealing video clip and definitely worth a quick watch. Mares talks about being in the ring and feeling on top of the world with all of the fans there cheering for you, but then getting home and it returns to being all about family. He asks his daughter is boxing is a job and she says yes, so you can get money and buy things, and buy things for me. Mares also gets into his youth and coming to the United States at age 7, and all of the really intense trials and hardships he has to deal with.
