Found December 15, 2012 on Run the Floor:
PLAYERS: Kenny Boynton
TEAMS: Florida Gators
For the first 7 games (and 39:53 into this one) the Florida Gators never once trailed past the 15:00 minute mark of the 1st half. In other words, they've played virtually the entire season with the lead. Tonight was no different as the Gators took the lead with 17:31 left in the 1st. They built an eleven point lead in the first half only to see Arizona score eight points in the final 1:25 to cut the Gator lead to three at the half. But still, they led. They built an eleven point second half lead as well, but could never put Arizona away. But still, they led. In the end, they hung on to a one point lead with 0:21 seconds left in the game, and senior Kenny Boynton going to the line for a one-and-one. Fourteen seconds later, the Gators trailed a game deeper than the early 1st half for the first time all season. Here's the video:

Gators need more from Boynton

The Florida defense is one of the top units in the country, but there’s still something missing from the team. It’s the production from the team’s best scorer. Kenny Boynton is going through one of the worst stretches in his career during the early season, well under his normal point average and shooting percentages. The added responsibility of playing point guard could be slowing him down.

2013 Football Recruiting: Jarrad Davis Flips From Auburn To Florida; Gators Add OLB

Over the last week, the Florida Gators are up one outside linebacker. Last weekend, the Gators added Matt Rolin, but lost Quinton Powell. This past weekend, Florida went back on the positive side, getting Jarrad David to switch his commitment from Auburn to Florida. Davis comes in a mold similar to Powell’s. He is an athletic linebacker that will need to fill out before making...

Florida Struggling To Sell Sugar Bowl Tickets

While Louisville’s Sugar Bowl ticket sales have been unexpectedly well, it’s been the exact opposite for the Florida Gators. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Florida has sold just 6,500 of the 17,500 tickets it was contracted to purchase for the game. As of Friday morning, Louisville had sold 14,000 of its 17,500 allotment. More tickets were likely sold over the weekend, thanks...

Transfer: CB Willie Bailey To Leave Florida Gators After Falling On Depth Chart

Freshman cornerback Willie Bailey will transfer after one season with the Florida Gators during which he saw no action on the field. Despite coming back in 2013 with four full years of eligibility remaining, Bailey decided to look for playing time elsewhere. A three-star recruit out of Hallandale...

Weekend Visitors Set to Arrive

The Florida Gators are having a big recruiting run and hope for It to continue. Four commitments in the last week are leading up to a big recruiting weekend with some of the offensive weapons of the future in Gainesville. At least five official visitors are scheduled and four of them are skill players on offense.

Gators face tough test in Tucson

There are plenty of familiar names on both teams from last season’s matchup between Arizona and Florida in Gainesville. The scene shifts as the teams will tip off on Saturday at 10 p.m. EST in Tucson.
