After a 7-2 start to the season behind first-year head coach Jim Baron, many people have been wondering if Canisius basketball is legitimately good this year.
Canisius attempted to answer that question Wednesday, earning their biggest victory in years as they defeated Temple 72-62 in front of a shocked crowd at the Liacouras Center.
The Griffs struggled early, trailing by as many as 11-points in the first half, going into halftime down 36-28.
However, they quickly turned it around to start the second half, relying on Billy Baron and Reggie Groves to get them back in the game offensively while watching Chris Manhertz and Josiah Heath control the defensive boards.
Canisius started the second half red-hot, turning their eight-point halftime deficit into a five point lead midway through the half.
Billy Baron was key scoring wise for the Griffs, finishing with a game high 19 points while recording five assists.
