Chane Behanan and Wayne Blackshear highlighted the 2011 recruiting class which was going to light up the sky following a disappointing first round NCAA Tournament loss. A class that once ranked in the top five in the country only features three of the initial commits. Blackshear, Behanan and Ware. We all heard how Blackshear was a lights out shooter, and with a 6’5” frame, could shoot over most of the competition he would face in college basketball. Chane Behanan was ranked in the Top 25 by all the major polls (ESPN 100, rivals.com, Scout.com and USA Today) and heavily recruited by Kentucky. His decision to attend Louisville felt like a spark to a Cardinal fan base that needed something to hold on to after back to back first round losses in the NCAA tournament (2010 to California, 2011 to Kenneth Faried and Co.). Blackshear suffered a torn labrum in late October of his freshman year, sidelining him for a majority of the season. His return in February was quite fantastic: 13 points, ...
