Hotty Toddy, Gosh Almighty, the Ole Miss Rebels are recruiting everybody!  “The Perfect Storm” is the best way to describe Ole Miss’s 2013 recruiting class. ESPNU should have been called “The Ole Miss Sports Network” after all the coverage they got on National Signing Day.  Head Coach Hugh Freeze and his coaching staff have literally beaten out all the competition when it comes to recruiting this season.  Ole Miss has 10 of ESPN’s top 300 picks this year along with five of the top 150 picks this recruiting season.  Not only have the coaches stayed on top of their recruiting game, current players, former players, and fans have encouraged and made recruiting visits one of a kind for future Ole Miss Football players. It’s no secret that five star top defensive end Robert Nkemdiche committed to Ole Miss.  After DE committing from Clemson earlier in 2012, everyone figured he would commit to Ole Miss to play football alongside his brother Denzel Nkemdiche.  He is a player that is going to be able to play immediately.  He will be able to get a substantial about of pressure on the opposing quarterback and be able to get anywhere on field in a short amount of time because of his incredible speed.  His blend of size, power, and speed is what could also make him a number one pick in the NFL one day.  His SEC body is going to be favorable early on for Ole Miss and he will be very coachable.  His brother Denzel was an ALL-Freshman linebacker in 2012 with 82 tackles and three sacks.  Opposing teams better watch out with these two guys on the field and be sure to figure out which brother will be hitting them, because it’s not going to tickle either way.Now on to five star Laremy Tunsil.  This guy is the real deal and no joke! In my opinion, he may be the best pick-up for Ole Miss this recruiting season.  He is the top-ranked offensive tackle in the country coming in this season and he committed to Ole Miss over Florida and Georgia.  The 6’6 295-pounder out of Lake City, FL has great footwork and is going to be able to keep off the defenders off of the quarterback.  His ability and athleticism is also going to be able to protect the pass and allow the receivers to have easier jobs.  Like formers player Michael Oher, he is going to be able to protect “the blind side.”  Ole Miss easily might now have the best O-line in the country.Let’s keep the trend going folks.  Four star Laquon Treadwell also committed to Ole Miss.  He is the number one wide receiver in the nation out of Crete, Illinois and is 6’3, 195 pounds.  He will be an SEC powerhouse with his fast footwork and indescribable speed.  Treadwell has some close company at Ole Miss that probably helped him make his decision to attend the university.   Former high school teammate and current freshman at Ole Miss, Anthony Standifer will be playing alongside with Treadwell in the years to come. Gosh, I am still not done here!  Ole Miss also picked up the number two safety in the country, Tony Connor from Batesville, Mississippi.  Connor can play both sides of the ball, but safety will be his strong point.  He is very physical and will be able to tackle in the open field very well.  He definitively will be a player who can come in and hit a two-deep chart. Many other recruits were also signed today that will absolutely be a positive result for the Rebels.  Ole Miss has had a total of 28 recruits. This top notch recruiting class has helped and made Hugh Freeze define what Ole Miss is to become and set standards to how serious they will take recruiting each and every year.  Winning over recruits from national championship coaches like Saban and Miles says something HUGE about Freeze.  All of Freeze’s recruits will be able to work well with Freeze’s fast tempo pace and hopefully be able to create history at the University of Mississippi.  “Win the Day” has been Coach Freeze’s motto since day he was hired.  He definitely has owned up to his saying this recruiting season.  Come on 2013 football season! Hotty Toddy!
