Alabama running back Jalson Fowler is expected to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Coach Nick Saban said Monday Fowler will undergo surgery on his left knee. He didn't elaborate on the nature of the injury. Fowler is second on the top-ranked Crimson Tide with 85 yards on 11 carries. He was injured in the Western Kentucky game last Saturday. The 245-pounder also serves as a lead blocker in the I-formation. Saban expects noseguard Jesse Williams and cornerback Dee Milliner back for Saturday's game at Arkansas. Milliner missed the Western Kentucky game with a strained hip flexor. Williams sustained a concussion in a collision with safety Robert Lester in practice last week. Saban said he passed the concussion test but woke up Saturday with a headache.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama running back Jalson Fowler is expected to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Coach Nick Saban said Monday Fowler will undergo surgery on his left knee. Alabama t-shirt reads 'Hail Saban'

This Alabama Crimson Tide shirt about head coach may be a little inappropriate. The shirt is a play on words on “Hail Satan.” It seems some Tide fan went a little too far on this one. ROLL TIDE! HT ElevenWarriors

Can AJ McCarron blaze a trail for Crimson Tide quarterbacks?

If not for the narrowest win in Heisman history in 2009, the Crimson Tide would still be seeking that elusive first trophy. It’s a curiosity that a team so rich in tradition has just one Heisman. But could junior quarterback AJ McCarron be on the verge of making his own run at the trophy? After all, he [...]

No. 1 Alabama gets easy win, teaching points

The final score didn't impress Alabama wide receiver Kevin Norwood. Norwood says the top-ranked Crimson Tide's 35-0 win over Western Kentucky on Saturday might look good to the fans ''but we know that deep down inside we didn't play our best.'' He says that performance won't be good enough in the Southeastern Conference opener at unranked Arkansas...

'Bama's White, Hart out with knee injuries

No. 1 Alabama has lost wide receiver DeAndrew White and running back Dee Hart for the season. Coach Nick Saban said Monday that both will have to undergo knee surgery after injuries sustained during the Mississippi game. White has eight catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns, including a 51-yarder against Michigan in the opener. He was hurt on the Crimson Tide's first drive...

Saban: Ely, Sims competing for backup QB role

On the SEC Coaches Teleconference this morning, Alabama head coach Nick Saban discussed the competition at backup quarterback, why he kept AJ McCarron in the Western Kentucky game until late in the fourth quarter and what he's expecting out of Arkansas this weekend.

Saban: Passing game needs improvement

AJ McCarron made explosive plays against Western Kentucky, but Alabama's passing attack has a ways to grow. Good thing the Tide has playmaker out wide in Kevin Norwood and Christion Jones, who want to lead the passing game to its potential.

Fan made “Hail Saban” T-shirt

There are some pretty funny (and pretty dreadful) fan made T-shirts for college athletics. This is one of the more clever designs. Love how the Alabama Crimson Tide fans are embracing the evilness that they have aligned themselves with. You have to love the Jack Daniels No.7 for a nice redneck touch. H/T Throw the [...]

An Arkansas fan makes a music video for the Razorbacks

Arkansas Razorback fans have plenty of reasons to be sad right now. This lady is not one of them. She remains a true Hog. Arkansas lost to ULM this Saturday and the meltdown was as expected. This lady predicts they will beat the Alabama Crimson Tide. She also talks about wanting to be them 100-3. The music is set to “United We Stand.” HT EDSBS

Home Openers Are Usually Tide Wins

With Saturday’s 35-0 win over Western Kentucky in Bryant-Denny Stadium, the Alabama football team is 98-16-3 all-time in home opening games. Crimson Tide Coach Nick Saban is 6-0 in his Bama career. Alabama has won 11 consecutive season-openers. Here are notes from Saturday’s game:

Fumble Recoveries Winning Formula

Alabama did not use a familiar formula to defeat Western Kentucky Saturday. The Crimson Tide modus operandi is a smothering defense and relentless ground attack, which is how Bama blasted Michigan and to the top of the national polls a week earlier.

Red Storm Rising

Arkansas head coach John L. Smith and Alabama head coach Nick Saban used the SEC Teleconference on Wednesday to talk about Tyler Wilson's availability - Smith feeling more optimistic about his chance to play - and other issues regarding this Saturday's game in Fayetteville.

The Tide's Coming In

Alabama head coach Nick Saban praises Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson and his importance to the SEC, but also expects to get a battle from the Razorbacks regardless of who is playing quarterback on Saturday in Fayetteville.

AP Poll: Arkansas Suffers Historic Drop After Loss

The year 2012 just went from bad to worse for the Arkansas Razorbacks football team. The formerly eighth-ranked team has dropped entirely out of the Associated Press top 25 in this week’s poll after losing 34-31 in overtime to Louisiana-Monroe. It is the second-biggest drop in the history of the AP Poll behind Michigan’s drop from number five after losing to Appalachian State...
