Even though Brandon Weeden might have put up some video game stats against Texas Tech this Saturday,  LaMichael James helped the Oregon Ducks upset Andrew Luck’s Stanford Cardinals. LaMichael was coming off 150+ yards performance against Washington and his momentum clearly led into the next week. Last year’s 52-31 victory against Stanford at home, LaMichael had 31 carries for 257 yards and 3 touchdowns. Perhaps if LaMichael got 11 more carries he could have put up more than 200+ yards, but with 20 carries last saturday he still had the same impact as last year.

LaMichael James rushed for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns in the 53-20 win. Currently James is somehow 6th in the FBS in rushing yards even though he was kept out a few games due to injuries. With only 153 rushing attempts LaMichael has tallied 1,207 yards for a 7.9 average, and he’s added 13 total touchdowns. Last year LaMichael finished with 253 carries 1,568 and 20 total touchdowns. With 3 more games left (including a Bowl Game), he should be able to surpass his last year’s successes.
