California cornerback Steve Williams will skip his senior season to enter the NFL draft.
Williams announced his decision on Tuesday.
Williams played 37 games over his three seasons with the Golden Bears and ranks sixth in school history with 25 career pass breakups. He also had 150 tackles, nine tackles for loss, one sack, six interceptions and three forced fumbles.
Williams says it was a difficult decision to leave Cal but that he feels the time is right to enter the NFL.
Williams is the second Cal player to leave early to enter the draft, joining star receiver Keenan Allen.
