Derek Dooley (Tennessee Vols): Dooley had a team that returned 19 starters with 10 on offense.Surrounded by talent, quarterback Tyler Bray put up some points for the Vols, but the defense ranks 110th in points given up.This shows a lack of discipline on Dooley's part.Fans would think that Dooley, who coached under Nick Saban, would be more defensive-minded.Dooley has had this bad type of body language that spills out into his team.I call it the Cam Newton effect.Frank Beamer (Virginia Tech): We have talked about these coaches like Bobby Bowden who stays around a program too long.I think that coach Beamer is losing that connection with his young players. Who would have thought that the Hokies would already have six loses this season. This team had nine returners on defense, but gave up 48 to North Carolina, 38 to Clemson, and 35 to the Pitt Panthers. This is not the old Beamer ball that we are use to.Lane Kiffin (USC): I know I will get a lot of flack over this choice because of their lack of depth on defense, but three losses with two of them against Stanford and Arizona. These two teams both lost big time quarterbacks, while Kiffin had Matt Barkley coming back.Nine returners on offense was not enough to combat the amount of points that they have given up this season. I really thought that Kiffin could groom his quarterback, but Barkley has thrown an average of one INT a game. I guess Kiffin is better when he's on probation and there's no pressure on him.Mack Brown(Texas): I guess Mack Brown and the media didn't look at the same game plan. This was going to be an Alabama type team with a very good defense and a smart quarterback in David Ash. The defense gave up 48 to West Virginia, 63 to Oklahoma, and 50 to Baylor. What happened to this time of possession type of offense who was supposed to win these low scoring big games? Coach Brown, you can't win by throwing 90 percent of your completions to the same reciever, Joe Bergeron.Brady Hoke(Michigan): Hoke was going to be the man that to change Wolverine football. I thought that Hoke would have QB Denard Robinson ready to destroy other teams because Hoke had a better offensive line than previous years. In the Alabama game, Hoke didn't let Robinson use his athletic skills to loosen up Bama's defense. He put his quarterback in the pocket to over throw several passes because of early game nerves.Michigan could score against average opponents, but fell short with 14 against Bama, 6 against Notre Dame, and 9 against Nebraska. I call it lack of preparation on Hokes part.Sweetheart's Sexiest Head Coaches: Mark Richt when his hair stays in place.Steve Spurrier Whooo! Back in his Florida days, he brought the Chomp! Chomp! Finally, Lou Holtz needs to come back to the playing field, so I can give him a my own game ball.
