After almost a year of Alabama holding down the top spot in our rankings I'd completely run out of pictures of Alabama fans and cheerleaders, so it's good that we finally got some fresh blood up there. Here's how the rankings shake out after our first change at the top in 2012...
1. OREGON (10-0): The Ducks lead the nation in scoring, averaging 55 points per game. Can you imagine what kind of numbers they'd be putting up if their starters played the second half every week? We saw some dents in the Oregon armor last week when they suffered some key injuries in the secondary and on the defensive line. They'll need to shore those up against Stanford's methodical running game this Saturday.
2. KANSAS STATE (10-0): Collin Klein looked fine after presumably suffering a concussion two weeks ago, and as he goes so go the Wildcats. I still refuse to believe after seeing so many talented teams stumble in the Big 12 over the last ten years that THIS will be the te...

Collin Klein and Kansas State are two wins away from almost certainly playing for the school's first national championship.
The second-ranked Wildcats (10-0) are headed to Texas for the second Saturday night in a row. This time they play Baylor (4-5), which is still trying to get bowl eligible after losing its Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback to the NFL.
The Wildcats, No...
The second best thing that Sports Illustrated is known for after its swimsuit issue (of course) is the curse of being on the magazine’s cover. Placement on the cover of SI is a kiss of death in college football. Since 2005, approximately 65% of schools/players on the cover of the magazine have failed expectations. And with 2012 coming to a close the percentage is likely to...
With just a few weeks left, Collin Klein has a strong lead in the Heisman race and will have to seriously underachieve over his last two games to lose it. The Wildcats' quarterback is being recognized for his leadership skills as well as his impressive output. Kansas State coach Bill Snyder said, “They respond to him, not only by what he does, but also what he addresses...
The latest Discover Fan Loyalty Poll was all about asking college football fans across the country with whom they prefer to wager against, as well as what they would offer to give up for a month if their favorite team lost the best. Make sure to check out the infograph below as to how the majority of fans felt about that topic. As far as the voting for the 2012 Heisman Trophy is...
Week eleven of the college football season saw Heisman front runner Collin Klein notch another win on the Kansas State belt loop, Manti T'eo and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame stay undefeated and a young up and comer by the nickname of Johnny Football pull off an upset of the #1 team in America. Can Texas A&M freshman Johnny Manziel make a splash in the Heisman voting this...
MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) Every week, the pressure on Collin Klein becomes a little more oppressive.
The senior quarterback has No. 2 Kansas State atop the BCS standings with two games standing in the way of likely playing for a national title. Klein's the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy, the poster boy for the program and this week the cover boy for Sports Illustrated.
