The Michigan State Spartans are still awaiting word on the futures of Le’Veon Bell and William Gholston, but they reportedly will have to say goodbye to another key member of this year’s team: Michigan State tight end Dion Sims will enter the NFL draft, according to a source — Joe Schad (@schadjoe) January 2, 2013 Sims had 36 catches for 375 yards and two touchdowns during his junior season, and his size (6-foot-5, 285 pounds) should intrigue NFL teams. Schad added that Sims is his fourth-ranked tight end for the 2013 NFL Draft and the No. 77 player overall. There are at least three other potential ’13 draft picks at Sims’ position that have yet to declare — Notre Dame’s Tyler Eifert, Stanford’s Zach Ertz and Florida’s Jordan Reed. Presumably, those are the three tight ends Schad has ahead of Sims in the pecking order, though Cincinnati’s Travis Kelce recently accepted a Senior Bowl bid and should hear his name called at the draft.
