I think all Louisville fans were a little surprised to hear Charlie Strong’s comments on Monday afternoon about the lack of fan support. I know there is a percentage of the fan base that agrees with what Strong said about the lack of support; however there is also a percentage that can’t get past his comment about the “Big Blue Nation.”
Let’s be honest. Using Louisville’s biggest rival to make a point wasn’t a smart move. Regardless if that is how he feels or not, it probably wasn’t something he should have said.
If you take away that particular comment and listen to what he said about everything else, he has a valid point. Louisville started the season 9-0 and couldn’t fill half of the stadium before kickoff on Senior Day.
Strong’s biggest beef was the turnout for Card March. Tom Jurich said in his press conference yesterday afternoon that the low turnout was something that Charlie took personal.
