PLAYERS: Cayleb Jones
TEAMS: Texas Longhorns
Yesterday, Longhorns head coach Mack Brown announced that wide receiver Cayleb Jones was going to be unconditionally released from the Texas football program. Jones had been accused of punching a Texas tennis player earlier this offseason. While it is a sad departure for Jones, he at least is handling it with class — he posted this note to his Twitter last night, thanking Texas fans for supporting him: Love y’all to death #HookEm pic.twitter.com/6mji6meJ31 — Cayleb Jones (@Cayleb_Jones4) July 26, 2013 Obviously getting kicked off a team is never a good thing, but hopefully Jones can turn things around for his future.
