New Florida International coach Ron Turner already has a mini scandal on his hands. Over the weekend, a couple of FIU football players -- redshirt sophomore safety Demarkus Perkins and junior defensive tackle Isame Faciane -- tweeted about taking a prospective recruit to a strip club. On Monday, the Twitter accounts of both players were shut down, though they remain on the team. While the NCAA Division I manual doesn't expressly prohibit visits to strip clubs, FIU's visitor packet for student hosts states: You may not entertain the prospective student-athlete by attending a gentlemans club or providing an opportunity for a sexual encounter e.g., strip club, escort service, etc.. Turner, who replaced fired Mario Cristobal as Panthers coach in early January, told The Miami Herald, Moving forward, Ill be able to do a better job of picking hosts. Obviously, a couple didnt do the right job. Thats not something thats acceptable.
