The Boise State tradition does not stop with graduation it carries forward to the NFL where many former Broncos will be suiting up this weekend. It is not a fluke that so many Boise State players are now playing in the National Football League. Coach Peterson and his style of play are keys to the foundation for building successful players and a successful program. His philosophy is what prepared these young men for the chance to participate at the professional level. Heres a look at two former broncos who may impact their teams this Sunday.

Former Boise State Bronco Doug Martin who is now the running back for the Tamp Bay Buccaneers gets the start over LeGarrette Blount.  “A lot of it’s by feel,’’ coach Greg Schiano said. “I think things change. Do we have a plan? Sure we have a plan. I think a lot of that goes on how things are going. If a guy gets hot, you don’t want to take him out. He’s hot for a reason. You let him go.’’

Another Bronco who will see plenty of action is Defensive End Shea McClellin.  A bit undersized but a ferocious competitor who has a nose for the football. ‘He can’t play the run. He’s too small. He’s this, he’s that,’ ” coach Lovie Smith told the Chicago Sun-Times, listing criticisms of McClellin. “But he’s a perfect complement for (end) Julius Peppers when they start running from the big dog to him. We’ve been saying all along, ‘He’s right on time.’ ”

A side note Kellen Moore did make the Detroit Lions.  He will run the scout team and learn as much as possible from starter Matthew Stafford and back up Shaun Hill.
