Richard Benjamin, a 6-foot, 200-pound, freshman was one of the five true freshman featured in our article about the five true freshman who could receive make an immediate impact. The Tampa, FL., native played mostly wide receiver in high school, but was recruited by most schools as a defensive back, which is what he’s been playing in fall camp. At least until today. Benjamin Tweeted out on Thursday night that he’s moving back to wide receiver. Benjamin is one of the top athletes that Charlie Strong signed in 2013. He played wide receiver, cornerback and running back at Tampa Bay Technical High School. The cornerback position is one that could use some solid depth; however Vance Bedford said following Thursday’s practice that there isn’t one true freshman on the defensive side of the ball that has cracked the first and second rotation. The fact that Benjamin is such a good athlete may have led to the decision to move him to offense. If he’s not able to crack the rotation at corner, ...

With Charlie Strong and the Louisville Cardinals looking to make a splash on the national scene and crash the BCS party once again, we haven’t spent a whole lot of time talking about or previewing the American Conference.
