Nothing gets your ire up like bad news after Signing Day.

The Georgia Bulldogs recently capped off a nice 2012 recruiting class, built on "quality not quantity", and filled many of their defensive needs for the coming season and beyond. That said, they also have apparently now lost two defensive players of the future due to bad behavior.

It is now surfacing in numerous reports, though this story has yet to be confirmed by the UGA Athletic Department, that Nick Marshall and Sanford Seay stole money from a fellow student (some have even said it was a fellow teammate) and were seen doing so. The offense was reported and the two were dismissed from the team.

This was a rumor I started hearing about as early as yesterday afternoon, but aside from heated message board conversation, there were no published reports—that is until now.

The coaches are set to be on a vacation of sorts until next Wednesday, but this unfortunate incident now looms large over the football program and you'd have to guess that a statement from Richt or someone will soon have to be made—particularly if it's true that this incident took place before Signing Day.

Of the two players who have allegedly been dismissed, Nick Marshall was the one most people were the most excited about and the most familiar with. Marshall was a standout star for Wilcox County in 2010 and was one of several prospects, who redshirted last season, that was thought to be in line for some increased playing time this year.

Seay was not nearly as heralded, but Georgia could ill-afford to lose any defensive players—particularly in a secondary from which several players will exit after 2012.

I cannot state enough that nothing has been confirmed by the University about this incident or these players yet, but you don't have to look far right now to find all the details you need about the alleged event or the players who are suspected to be involved.

Hopefully, this doesn't overshadow the team too much going into the Spring, but I'm quite certain more information will be trickling out over the coming hours and days.

Stay tuned.
