Kentucky sophomore defensive back J.D. Harmon has been ruled academically ineligible for this upcoming season. Harmon was a potential starter for Kentucky going in to fall camp and his loss leaves Kentucky incredibly weak in the secondary.Nate Willis, another member of the Kentucky secondary, is still waiting for official word on his eligibility for this upcoming season.If Willis is also declared ineligible, Kentucky may look to borrow players from other postions to fill the void. After not receiving much playing time for the first half of last year, Harmon had a breakout game against Missouri picking off two passes and recording seven tackles.His absense will leave Kentucky with zero returning players who have intercepted a pass in college football.As of today, Kentucky's 2nd string defensive backs will include a walk on who mainly played wide receiver in high school.
