I’ve said many times over the past two years that Louisville fans need to develop tough skin in regards to Charlie Strong’s name being mentioned for available coaching positions.
Each year that Strong has been here at Louisville, he’s been mentioned as a potential candidate for many jobs. In fact, last year Texas A&M asked to speak with Strong about their open position. To my knowledge, the two sides never actually made contact, but regardless, schools are going to keep Strong’s name at the top of their list.
It’s tough for Louisville fans to not panic, considering many coaches have used this job as a spring board. But at this point, we have no choice, but to trust Coach Strong and take him for his word. As long as he’s doing what he is doing at Louisville, he is going to be mentioned as a potential candidate for nearly every high level job that becomes available.
