Louisville has moved into the top ten in the USA Today Coaches Poll for the first time since 2007. After nine weeks of college football, Charlie Strong and the Louisville Cardinals are just one of the six remaining undefeated teams in the country.
Louisville is now the only team in the Big East that is ranked. The BCS ratings will be released tonight. With multiple teams that were previously ahead of Louisville losing this week, the Cards should move up at least one or two spots.

Over the past three seasons, Charlie Strong has talked a lot about getting University of Louisville football back where it belongs. But even he has to be surprised by what’s going on in the polls.
According to CBSSports, U of L is ranked No. 12 in the Associated Press poll and No. 10 in the ESPN/USAToday Coaches poll. What’s even more impressive, however, is that Louisville is...
University of Louisville football coach Charlie Strong talked about leaders on Monday, saying he created a leadership committee of players. Cardinal Authority was there and has all the details on how it has helped the undefeated Cardinals.
Louisville kept their undefeated alive by coming out on top of a wild Big East contest against Cincinnati. Teddy Bridgewater passed for over 400 yards and he and Munchie Legaux were each able to put together late touchdown drives to send the game in to overtime. It was a wild fourth quarter as Louisville battled back against a Cincinnati defense that was looking gassed perhaps overdoing...
At this afternoon’s press conference, Charlie Strong was asked about the status of sophomore defensive end Lornezo Mauldin who was carted off the field on Friday night during the first half with what looked to be a serious knee injury.
Coach Strong didn’t go into great detail of Mauldin’s injury, but he did say that Mauldin won’t need surgery and has a sprained knee. Strong...
For the first time since 2007, Louisville captured college football's coolest rivalry trophy from Cincinnati last night. The undefeated Cardinals were in a celebrating mood, prompting redshirt senior quarterback Will Stein to do a Keg-of-Nails stand.
Damian Copeland has become one of the most consistent and best wide receivers for the University of Louisville football team. The junior made another huge play on Friday night in the 34-31 overtime win against Cincinnati.
Damian Copeland has played huge for the Louisville offense this season and is currently leading the team in receptions. He had some huge catches last night, including the 51-yard reception in the fourth quarter when the Cards were at their own goal line. That wasn’t the first time Copeland has came through in that type of situation. When asked last night after the game about his...

There has been some talk in recent weeks about Louisville head basketball coach Rick Pitino receiving a control extension. That process to a step in the right direction this afternoon as the University of Louisville athletic association’s personnel committee met to discuss the matter.
Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich has been given authorization from the committee to extend...
The Louisville basketball team had their third and final intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday afternoon. Of all three scrimmages, I thought the teams were more evenly divided on Saturday than the previous two. If you didn’t get a chance to make it to the Yum! Center, you didn’t miss a whole lot, but here are a few observations.
–Kevin Ware got a lot of time at the point guard...
The University of Louisville men’s basketball team finished its third public scrimmage on Saturday at the KFC Yum Center and coach Rick Pitino said he was “really pleased” with the effort. Cardinal Authority has the details.

Louisville has continued its ascension up the BCS standings and is the Big East's last unbeaten team, but it's made a habit of living dangerously throughout the season.
The 12th-ranked Cardinals hope things get a little easier Saturday as they look to move to 9-0 for the first time in school history with a win over a visiting Temple squad coming off back-to-back blowout...
