High profile recruits don't usually turn down Urban Meyer when the Ohio State coach offers them a chance to play on his team. However, Miami native and Hurricanes commit KC McDermott sure did, and he has funny story to go along with it.According to McDermott, who is a five-star offensive tackle according to 247 Sports, Meyer appeared as if he was going to cry when receiving word of McDermott's refusal to play for the Buckeyes. Here is more on the story from Eye on College Football:"The Urban Meyer thing was just funny to me. He came to my school a week after I told his assistant that I wasn't even interested in them," McDermott said. "I told him no to his face, and it's got to be one of the top five reactions of someone ever. His facial expression was just so funny. My coach was tearing up and had to go in his office and laugh."After being asked to elaborate on Meyer's "funny" face, McDermott compared the two-time national championship winning coach to an infant."It literally looked like a kid the first time you tell him 'no, you can't do something.' It looked like he was a baby about to cry. It was so funny."This is obviously McDermott's side of the story so it is unknown whether Meyer really did tear up when receiving the news. But the mere thought of a multi-million dollar coach tearing up like a baby is definitely an amusing one. With that being said, Meyer could very well get the last laugh as he returns most of the pieces from an undefeated team, and looks to make a strong push toward another national title now that the bowl ban has been lifted from the program.Meanwhile, the 'Canes are still looking for their first Atlantic Coast Conference championship since entering the league in 2004. The Buckeyes have won at least a share of the Big Ten Conference title a total of six different times since then.
