There have not been too many highlights for the Miami Hurricanes today against a 4-3 Wake Forest team. As the No. 7 team in the country, trailing at halftime for the second straight week falls far below expectations, especially when those opponents are Wake Forest and UNC. However, one-handed catches on touchdown drives are just what is expected of top-10 teams with explosive offenses. Tight end Clive Walford, a 6-foot-4 junior, helped to keep Miami's lone TD drive alive with this solid 20-yard catch late in the second quarter on Saturday ... helping to keep the halftime deficit a manageable 14-10. Here's the snag: Not too shabby. Now, this is not on the level of one-handed grabs we've seen in past weeks. In the southeastern portion of the country alone, we've seen the likes of Georgia's Chris Conley and Alabama's DeAndrew White not to mention Kodi Whitfield's current catch of the year for Stanford upstage Walford's highlight. But still, on a slow start to the college football slate and an even slower start to Miami's latest bid to remain undefeated, this one is worth some headlines. Walford now has 15 catches for 233 yards and two touchdowns this season. Al Golden's Hurricanes could use a few more such highlights to stage yet another second half comeback. (GIF via SBNation)
