For another example that Alabama-Auburn is the best rivalry in college football, check out the promotion at Lynch Toyota of Auburn. The dealership is offering free cars if the Crimson Tide are shut out by the Tigers.

Guidelines for the promotion are as follows: Anyone who buys a car from the dealership between Nov. 19 and Nov. 29 will be eligible for a full refund. To earn the refund, Auburn must shut out Alabama. As an added bonus, any person who test-drives a car during the same time gets entered into a $25,000 lottery. If Auburn beats Alabama, no shutout needed, one contestant will win the money.

It may seem like a long shot, but Auburn has blanked the Tide four times in the series’ history, the most recent coming in 2000. Regardless, this is a great promotion for one of the most intense rivalries in all of sports.

  • Good luck on getting a shut down on the TIDE - it is not going to happen. RTR!
  • Um I think that's pretty much gambling lol on a sportsbetting level at least!
Of course its a pretty dangerous bet due to the potential for manipulation. Not to say anyone on Alabama would throw the game. But for the price of a car, id highly consider sending a few of my family members over to pickup a few new vehicles, if I did want to, maybe drop a few balls......
  • I would put my money (if I were a bettin man) on BAMA shutting down Auburn instead. Just sayin . . . ROLL TIDE!!!
  • Stranger things have happened. WDE!!
  • I'm with you. I believe Alabama is destine to win. Who won last year? Hummmm Alabama. Do it again and my vote is for McCarron for the Heisman. Should've gotten it last year.
  • I'm giving away cars (you dont even have to buy it first)if the sun doesn't come up on Nov 30th! It's about the same odds!
  • Never say never...just ask any Michigan fan about Appalachian State...
  • Guy on Finebaum just said McCarron wasn't really showing up in the polling for Heisman nation-wide. Says it'll be Winston Jameison, Manziel, or Bryce Petty. I thought McCarron was doing better in the polls. http://espn.go.com/college-football/heisman13/

Ryan Lochte: Phelps made dumb decision, will learn from it

If Ryan Lochte thinks you made a dumb decision, then you probably made a very dumb decision. The Olympic swimmer spoke out about fellow Olympian Michael Phelps’ second DUI, and his statement was much more logical than interviews he has given in the past. In fact, he summed up the situation perfectly. “I’m not concerned…he just makes dumb decisions,” Lochte said via FOX...

Brady snubs rookie Garoppolo after touchdown pass

TweetThe New England Patriots were blown out by the Kansas City Chiefs Monday night, with star QB Tom Brady uncharacteristically playing terrible football. Brady was so bad that he was pulled in the 4th quarter with the score 41-7. Brady’s backup Jimmy Garoppolo came in to mop up for New England and promptly led the first team offense on a scoring drive, throwing his first career...

Cung Le suspended for failed HGH test

So, remember when Cung Le posted the above pic on the Internet and claimed the reason he looked overly ripped was because he had just finished an intense workout and the photo was shot under the “perfect lighting”? Yeah, about that… As many had suspected, Le was on something, and that something was human growth hormone. The UFC has suspended Le nine months, retroactive to his...

FCC Chairman: Washington nickname 'inappropriate today'

This could very well end up being the nail in the coffin for the Washington Redskins as we know it. The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) is now considering banning the Redskins name and whether to punish broadcasters who use the term. Reuters is reporting that the FCC received a petition on behalf of a legal activist to take actions in guaranteeing that the team name is no...
