The Spartans enter their first season in the Mountain West Conference with high expectations and hope to build on the successful 2012 campaign. Junior David Fales returns under center after having a breakout 2012 season. He threw for 4,193 yards with 33 touchdowns and only nine interceptions. Fales was also the most accurate passer in the FBS in 2012.
