The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have finally given it's fans and supporters something to look forward to without a four leaf clover or the luck of the Irish. They have jumped out of the gate to a 3-0 start after impressive victories against Navy and top ten ranked rival Michigan St while grinding out a victory against Purdue.

They have gotten off to a great start with there electrifying red shirt freshman quarterback Everett Golson and a rock solid defense led by senior linebacker Manti Teo. Coach Brian Kelly, has always been known for his fast pace, spread offense but its his running game, timely pass plays and stout defense that has his players playing like champions but they have a long way to go before they start thinking championship.

Notre Dame has had a history of getting off to a fast and impressive start only to wither towards the end of the season. This season and this team has a positive vibe about them and they're a couple of wins away from being relevant in the BCS picture whether critics believe they deserve it or not.

This week they host Heisman trophy hopeful quarterback Denard Robinson and one of their biggest rivals, the Michigan Wolverines. They are seeking revenge after last year's heartbreaking lost in Ann Arbor and a 4-0 record, something they haven't accomplished since they started 8-0 in 2002. They will need there veteran defense, who's only given up 10 points per game, to put a clamp on the elusive Robinson and give the Irish faithful something to cheer about.

Is it time to say that Notre Dame is finally back and ready to take what we've all been thinking and and waiting for?  Is this the team that will get them to the promise land again? No need to answer these questions let's just sit back in see if history repeats itself or the Fighting Irish will continue to shine as bright as the gold on their helmets.
