Earlier this season, USC head coach Lane Kiffin fell into a bit of controversy (hard to believe, I know) when he proudly proclaimed to the world that he would not vote USC #1 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.  Kiffin then looked like an knucklehead (hard to believe, I know) when it was revelaed he did indeed vote USC #1 in the coaches poll.   Now, with those votes actually meaning something as we approach the end of the season, we have a coach who is at least sincere and honest with the fact that he votes his team #1.  Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly gave his Fighting Irish the top slot in his vote this week.  A coach of an undefeated program voting his team #1 wouldn't normally be news, except it just so happens that Kelly's vote was Notre Dame's only first place vote in the poll.  Via USA Today... "Notre Dame's only No. 1 vote in the USA TODAY coaches poll came from Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly, he revealed Sunday on his teleconference. "We've pl...

UCLA students have a message for USC

The UCLA Bruins and the USC Trojans play one another this weekend. Unlike years past, the Bruins have a legit shot at beating the Kiffikins. So you can’t fault the students living in the dorms for some trash talk prior to it. They were very creative this year. Have to say, I can’t disagree. And [...]

Second viewing thoughts and grade report: Notre Dame

BC should preserve this game in some sort of time capsule. That way if future BC fans want to know what life was like under Spaz, they'll have the perfect example in this game. You had a fanbase and a team dying to compete and win (to the point that players were crying), yet we had an ineffective offense, breakdowns on defense and got overpowered in the trenches. As we move on...

Notre Dame Leads for Redfield

Mission Viejo (Calif.) four-star safety Max Redfield says his trip to Seattle this past weekend was a good one, but it will take more than that for a program to take the lead in his recruitment away from the Irish.

College Football Week 11

"In America's future I see me...and 3 more years of my annoying nickname." One thing before we get started today.  I suggest that for the second annual RibFest that will be thrown in February (I'm assuming) the year of our Lord, 2013 we invite Brady but sit him at a different table and ignore him all night in the same fashion he ignored all of...
