The next few weeks here on State of the Texans we will be doing some draft profiles of some particular players who could possibly fit into the Texans plans. We are not going to try to piece together scouting reports, but we enlist help of bloggers who actually cover the respective player and their school.
Kodiak of the California Golden Blogs decided to help us with their athletic offensive tackle, Mitchell Schwartz. It was confirmed that the Texans interviewed Schwartz at this years Senior Bowl, so there has been some interest shown. It does not necessarily mean than Schwartz is a “target” of the Texans, but it is still good to see who they are talking to. Schwartz made a good showing at the Senior Bowl handling some of the top pass rushers with ease, and we find out from Kodiak that Schwartz looks like a player that is under the radar.
We ask Kodiak to give us some thoughts on the 6’6″ 318 lbs. offensive tackle who started 4 years for the Golden Bears.
