This is getting old—losing to Ohio State with Braxton Miller as quarterback, that is.  The dude is 3-0 against the Badgers and he's managed to lead his team to victory in just about any and every way imaginable at this point in time.  However, this version of defeat to the Buckeyes felt very new and that's because it was all about the quarterbacks and Wisconsin won that battle... Yet it wasn't enough to pull out a victory as the Badgers lost 31-24 in Columbus.  It was a career night for Joel Stave as he completed 20-of-34 passes for 295 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. His favorite target, Jared Abbrederis, also had a career night—collecting 10 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown.  Yet, at the end of the day, the guy with just 198 yards (Miller if you hadn't figured that out already) was the winner as he connected for four touchdown passes on the day.  No doubt, the third consecutive loss (and the third by a touchdown or less,...

Braxton Miller Left a Walk-On Teammate Hanging, And It Was Glorious

Braxton Miller had plenty of people to high five following Ohio State’s big 31-24 win over Wisconsin on Saturday, so many in fact that he had to snub others. One of those to be snubbed was walk-on quarterback Reid Worstell. As Reid tried to give some love to his starting quarterback and leader, he got denied big time. Ohio State holds on for win against Wisconsin

The Ohio State Buckeyes (5-0, 1-0) hold on for their first Conference win against the Wisconsin Badgers (3-2, 1-1). There were some concerns that Braxton Miller would not be ready and yet he threw for 4 Touchdowns and ran for 83 yards. The Buckeyes have the luxury of a stellar backup in Guyton and could use him more as they move more into Big 10 conference play. The post Ohio State...

Career passing game from Joel Stave overshadowed by loss

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- There was little doubt as to the strategy Ohio State's defense would employ Saturday night. Wisconsin's running game was so good, so powerful that the only way to stop it was to load the box with eight players and make the Badgers do something they had not done well all season -- pass the football. In theory, it was a move that could have rendered Wisconsin...

Badgers report card: Passing game shines on big stage

Wisconsin has lost its share of close football games in recent seasons, and the Badgers can add another one to the list after a 31-24 defeat against No. 4 Ohio State on Saturday at Ohio Stadium. UW's last 12 losses have come by seven points or less. The Badgers had plenty of opportunities to secure their biggest victory of the season, but they let it slip away and fell to 3-2...

Big Ten power rankings: guest Tweet edition

The pictures for this Big Ten power rankings honor history. Yes I witnessed history today for the Big Ten, and not in a good way.  Purdue gave up the most points in the history of Ross-Ade Stadium (opened its doors 1924) and the 31 point differential in their 55-24 loss to Northern Illinois is tied for the worst ever loss for a Big Ten team against a MAC school. (Toledo-Minnesota...

Badgering the MTB Staff: Ye of little faith in Badgers vs. Buckeyes?

It's Friday and you know what that means around these parts during football season, right? Of course....it is time for PREDICTIONS!!  However, around most parts of Big Ten country and the rest of the college football universe there is a lack of faith in the Badgers to a staggering degree. In fact, I'd be willing to bet some solid money that tomorrow morning not a single...
