Jadeveon Clowney arrived at South Carolina as a 6’7″ 250-pound local prospect and the No. 1 overall ranked high school player in 2011, with Steve Spurrier amongst others knowing the immediate impact the defensive end would have in the SEC Projected as a Top 3-5 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Clowney provided an absurdly unhealthy hit to Michigan running back Vincent Smith in this week’s Outback Bowl, continuing to prove he is one of the best defensive end prospects in the last decade. According to Spurrier, Clowney will have no problem jumping to the NFL and could have done it straight from high school. The veteran coach made the following comments in an interview on the Dan Patrick Show: “He could’ve come out of high school, probably, and gone straight to the NFL and played,” Spurrier said. “He’s just one of those rare guys who has tremendous strength and quickness and explosiveness. And he likes playing. He’s a good guy, he’s really a good teammate also.” Many NFL Draft analysts ha

South Carolina state line now has Clowney sign

Jadeveon Clowney is one of the best defensive ends in the country. He is already being mentioned as a Heisman finalist and he thinks he can win it, not to mention many predict that if he were eligible for the NFL draft this year he would be the first pick taken. Clowney made the hit of the year when he busted through the Michigan Wolverine o-line in the Outback Bowl and destroyed...

South Carolina "Beware of Clowney" sign is fake but still awesome (Picture)

The below photo of the South Carolina state line sign is clearly photoshopped to include a sign telling visitors to beware of South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. However that doesn't stop it from being any more awesome: Clearly, Michigan's Vincent Smith believes that he should have been informed of the sign. (Courtesy of Fan Sided)

South Carolina star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney will spend the rest of this off-season and a full 2013 season working on his game, getting reps in and most importantly trying not to get hurt. Clowney would have been the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 draft if he was allowed to come out, but with the three-year rule in effect, he has to wait until 2014. The state of South Carolina...

The Hit Heard ‘Round The World: The Internet Sure Does Love Jadeveon Clowney

On one hand, if the NFL didn’t have its rule that a player must be three years removed from high school to be eligible to play professional football, South Carolina Gamecocks sophomore defensive end Jadeveon Clowney would be the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. That means that the 2012 Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day would have been the last time SC fans would have watched their...

Jadeveon Clowney Might be the Best Player In College Football

The 2013 NFL Draft is a weak one partly because it won’t feature South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney, who we here at Unathletic are declaring the best player in college football. Yes, an extremely challenging thing to evaluate because of the different positions and the way they impact the game. Either way, this guy is a beast and surefire #1 pick in 2014.

Jadeveon Clowney Delivers Biggest Hit Of Bowl Season

South Carolina defensive stud Jadeveon Clowney delivered a game-changing hit on Vincent Smith to help rally his Gamecocks to a 33-28 victory of Michigan in the 2013 Outback Bowl. 3-year-old explains bad call in Outback Bowl

It was a call so obvious that a 3-year-old could see it. Too bad the ref didn't. Referee Jeff Maconaghy blew a call during the South Carolina-Michigan Outback Bowl in which the Wolverines ran a fake punt on fourth-and 4 in their own territory with less than eight minutes remaining. Michigan appeared short of the first-down marker, but close enough for a measurement. The ball...
