First Texas Tech offensive lineman Deveric Gallington found himself in a bar, then he found himself behind bars. Gallington faces "public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges" after being arrested in Lubbock after allegedly being involved in an altercation in a bar in the early Sunday morning, just hours after the Red Raiders upset West Virginia 49-14.
"Gallington, a 22-year-old senior, was among three men charged with
misdemeanors after what Lubbock police Sgt. Jonathan Stewart said was a
large fight involving several people about 1 a.m. Sunday near Mesquites
Sports Grill and Bar in the 2400 block of Broadway."
Garrington was not given a breath test or a blood test, but was described by police as being "intoxicated based on their observation." He was released on $50 bail on Sunday, and is still scheduled to be in this Saturday's Texas Tech-TCU game.
