Graham Wilbert is a Junior at Florida Atlantic, he is 21 years old, stands 6ft 6in, weighs in at 225, and was unfortunately the worst college quarterback of the 2011 season. There was not one game that Wilbert threw over 220 yards (219 season high). There was only one game where Wilbert had more touchdowns than interceptions…and they didn’t even win that game. With the help of Wilbert behind center the Owls finished 1-11 (0-8 Conference).

Wilbert finished with 15 interceptions and 7 touchdowns. I’m no football coach but it’s never good to throw 2x more interceptions than touchdowns, especially if you’re a pocket passer and pose no threat as a scrambler! Graham completed 154 out of 294 passes for 1,459 yards. That’s a completion percentage of 52.4%, a 4.96 yards per attempt, and a 91.8 passer rating. His long on the season, was 37 yards, I’m seriously debating if I can throw further than this guy.  You have to wonder, how did this dude play in 10 games?? He only won one game, which came against UAB where he finally threw no touchdowns or interceptions. That win makes his winning percentage .1.

Hopefully next season Wilbert somehow starts, and completely turns it around, and makes me look like a complete fool. I’d love to see Graham win the Heisman, Maxwell, and O’brien Awards and become the cover of NCAA Football ’14, and get his very own 30/30. I’d jump right on that FAU bandwagon! Then again if he repeats his 2011 performance, well Graham Wilbert is 21 years old, and lucky for him he can legally take much needed bad shots.
