Johnny Manziel appears to be a fan of Tim Tebow. And Tebow appears to be a fan right back.
Manziel — better known as “Johnny Football” during his rise through the college football world, where he’s put himself in Heisman consideration while leading Texas A&M past Alabama in the season’s biggest upset last week — has a shout-out to Tebow on his Twitter page. Manziel lists Proverbs 3:5-6 and a classic Christian quote, “I don’t know what my future holds, but I do know who holds my future,” on his profile. Manziel attributes the quote to Tebow (which, to be clear, Tebow did not invent).
Now Tebow is giving a nod back.
“He’s a heck of a player. … He’s a competitor. He’s a playmaker. He just finds a way to get things done,” Tebow told Yahoo! Sports. “You have to tip your hat to their coaches and coordinators. They have an awesome scheme and a lot of playmakers.”
While Tebow, who has a Heisman of his own, said he wouldn’t necessarily root for Manziel when A&M takes on his

Tim Tebow rarely — if ever — has a negative thing to say about anyone. A compliment from Tebow is like a hug from a Hooters girl. You feel good when you get one, but you know better than to think it’s something special. If Tebow says you have swag, however, you might have something worth bragging about. Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel has quickly established himself...
HE KICKS, TOO?
Due to yesterday's crazy shake-up in college football, it appears that Texas A&M freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel is the front runner for the Heisman trophy. For those Heisman voters looking to try and deny "Johnny Football" the trophy, check out this extra point that he attempted against Sam Houston State that ended up going wide right:
While starting quarterback Johnny Manziel has been making most of the headlines this season, the Aggies' offensive coordinator has managed to attract some attention on his own. Part of that included the now-infamous "butt-slapping" incident where TV cameras caught Kingsbury slapping A&M head football coach on the well, you know.
Kingsbury recently opened up about...
By now, you all know what happened during a wild weekend in the world of college football, as the Kansas State Wildcats and Oregon Ducks suffered their first defeats of the 2012 season, while the Notre Dame Fighting Irish rose to the No. 1 ranking in the newest BCS Standings. The Golden Domers should also go to the top of the next Discover Fan Loyalty Poll after coming out of this...
Texas A&M freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel has quickly become a household name across the country. The dual-threat signal caller appears to have the ability to do it all. Well, maybe not everything. With his Aggies up 40-0 early in the third quarter, Manziel tries his hand at kicking an extra point. His attempt is unsuccessful as the ball sails wide right. Their opponent, Sam...
COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Johnny Football needed a little more than a half to pile up five touchdowns in a record-setting day. Johnny Manziel threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for 100 yards and two more scores as No. 9 Texas A&M beat Sam Houston State 47-28 Saturday. The redshirt freshman with the cool nickname threw an 89-yard touchdown pass to Uzoma Nwachukwu...
The official twitter account of Texas A&M Aggies football (@AggiesFootball) has been touting Johnny Manziel (#JohnnyFootball) all day for the Heisman. However, I’m sure they are going to hear about it for the following retweet:
Doesn’t matter to me what a school tweets out, but not everyone is as free thinking as me. I’ll be interested to see if this tweet eventually gets deleted.

Sam Houston State won't spend much too time worrying about its 47-28 loss to No. 9 Texas A&M on Saturday with the Championship Subdivision playoffs starting in a week.
''We need to put it in our rearview mirror,'' coach Willie Fritz said.
