How scary would it be to look across the line of scrimmage and see a pair of bright green eyes staring back at you?
The Ole Miss Rebels experienced that firsthand Thursday night, as Vanderbilt linebacker Caleb Azubike debuted some frightening contact lenses for the season opener for both teams. (A brief Google search revealed that no, that is not what the sophomore usually looks like.)
Check out Azubike’s Incredible Hulk impression in the photo below.

Vanderbilt Commodores defensive end Caleb Azubike was psyched for his team's season opener against conference foe Ole Miss on Thursday.Seen here Azubike sporting some terrifying yellow contacts in an effort to strike fear in the hearts of the Rebels.Another theory could be that Azubike was simply trying to mimic one of the dancers from Michael Jackson's "Thriller"...
Vanderbilt Commodores linebacker Caleb Azubike and his bright yellow/green eyes could easily be confused for the Hulk.
It appears that Vanderbilt defensive end Caleb Azubike, upon learning that he needed to wear contact lenses, when to the eye doctors and said “give me the scariest pair you got.” If those don’t strike fear into the hearts of offensive players, I don’t know what will.

Vanderbilt Commodores defensive end Caleb Azubike broke out some crazy colored contacts to wear against the Ole Miss Rebels on Thursday night. That would be pretty freaky to look at all night if you were on the Rebels offense.
Vanderbilt star wide receiver Jordan Matthews left it all out on the field in more ways than one during his team’s 39–35 loss to Ole Miss on Thursday night. Matthews caught 10 passes for 178 yards, a stellar start to his senior season. And after he took a big hit (a legal one we might add) from a Rebels defender late in the fourth quarter, he puked all over the Vanderbilt Stadium...
That’s Vanderbilt Commodores sophomore defensive end Caleb Azubike. For some reason, the young man decided to wear disturbing green contact lenses in his eyes (where else would he wear them?) for his team’s season-opening game against the Ole Miss Rebels. His green contacts reminded me of when Washington Nationals star Bryce Harper rocked red contact […]The post Vanderbilt...
If there were any questions that Vanderbilt Commodores wide receiver Jordan Matthews was giving everything he had during Thursday night's college football season opener against Mississippi, those questions were answered when Matthews threw up on the field during the fourth quarter. And boy, did he ever.
And on that note, ladies and gentlemen, college football is back...

With their backs against the wall against Vanderbilt, Ole Miss running back Jeff Scott took the handoff for a 75-yard touchdown run to win an instant classic.
At 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds, Vanderbilt sophomore defensive lineman Caleb Azubike is already pretty intimidating. Evidently, that wasn’t enough for him, so he took the field against Ole Miss on Thursday night sporting some positively scary green contact lenses. Although Azubike’s Commodores would fall, 39–35, the contacts certainly made him popular among the Twittersphere. Caleb...
If it wasn't for an epic finish to the Ole Miss-Vanderbilt game, the Vanderbilt Commodores equipment manager's beard would have been the best part of the entire night.
College football players will do just about anything to make themselves look more fierce on the gridiron — so far we’ve seen players don some pretty intense looking facemasks. But often, players don’t need any help to look incredibly scary, and we got a vivid reminder of this tonight. Vanderbilt defensive end Caleb Azubike was caught on camera today by ESPN, and his stare...
