Chalk up another one.
Another SEC standout, this time Tennessee wide receiver DaRick Rogers, finds himself in trouble this offseason a disturbing trend that reinforces the notion that the season cannot start soon enough.
Rogers, who was named to the coaches All-SEC First Team last month at SEC Media Days, has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. His suspension was announced in an athletic department press release titled, Vols Release Depth Chart For First Game, which came with the unfortunate subtitle that Rogers was suspended.
No further comment has been made by coach Derek Dooley or the rest of the coaching staff at this time.
This is not Rogers first hiccup. As a freshman, he was arrested for his involvement in a bar fight that left a police officer injured. He also received a two-week ban from team-related activities earlier this offseason.
