Reports have been swirling around Chicago recently that the Cubs would be looking to deal pitcher Carlos Zambrano during the winter. It is widely known that he has a no-trade clause in his contract, yet the reports keep coming. It's pretty predictable that Zambrano wouldn't be too thrilled about the reports. But you knew someone would eventually ask him about them. You also knew that Zambrano would eventually loose his cool when asked."I don't care," Zambrano said when asked about recent media reports that the Cubs might seek to shop him and the $54 million left on the five-year deal that runs through 2012 (not counting a vesting option for 2013). "If the Cubs want to trade me, it's because they don't like me anymore. And I have to move on. What else can I do? Just move on."
Asked if he'd consider waiving it for the right trade, Zambrano said, "I don't want to," but wouldn't elaborate, eventually shutting down the postgame interview session.
