Life in the Majors: Pink Backpacks and Speedos

PLAYERS: Robert Parnell, Joe Smith

Bobby Parnell arrived in the major leagues on September 1. When he walked in to the locker room for the first time, he was greeted by new teammate Joe Smith. The New York Mets reliever greeted Parnell with a housewarming gift: a bright pink, over-the-shoulder "Sleeping Beauty" backpack.
