I'm pissed that this happened to Victorino, but at the same time, you really can't blame Cubs fan. This was just some drunken bastard who thought it'd be funny.

And don't forget, a Phillies fan did something like this not too long ago, but with a laser pointer shining on Julio Lugo (?) during a Fox broadcast of the Phills vs. Cardinals. And we all know that situation was just some fan trying to be funny and the rest of the fans being pissed at that person

What I don't like is how when one idiot Philly fan does smething like this we all get blamed, but everyone is so quick to blame this on one drunk fan. I am sick of the double standards.

Phillies fans actually scare me. I'm afraid to walk around with my wrist exposed out there in Philly. I've got a Mets tattoo and have been harassed before, and I wasn't even at a game.

HockeyChick: Mets fans are not so chummy with Philly fans either. If I were to walk up in the mets stadium all decked in Philly red I am sure a fight would be started by a drunken Met idiot fan. Chill with the double standards and don't fall into the media trap.

Beer+fans=drunken idiots at baseball games getting into some sort of trouble.

Every team has those rude fans.

I'm just wondering...what's the point of being a jerk? Guess I just don't get it. Sure pro athletes make a lot of money, but they've dedicated their lives to a passion for their game that Americans all love and pay to watch. So they go to work, they try to "get in the zone," and when they LEAST expect it, some moron does something so disrespectful that it gets a whole row of fans thrown out and takes the team's concentration away from the play? How is that, in any way, right, fair, acceptable or excusable? Oh--I keep forgetting that there are actually millions of people suffering from the "There's-Nobody-Else-But-Me-In-The-World Syndrome." And then the rest of us, and MAYBE the sober versions of those morons later wonder why more rules and more fences and more security is implemented. Just venting...
