Grab Some Bench:
The White Sox unveiled the 2013 marketing campaign – “Make an Impact." This follows in the footsteps of “Appreciate the Game," which came after “All in.”
The sequence of these campaigns is interesting. After an abysmal 2011 season, we were "ALL IN" on getting rid of Ozzie.
I don’t know about you all, but I most certainly appreciated the game last season. Not just the game, but the team, as well. The 2011 & 2012 teams were like night and day. I think "Appreciate the Game" was a bit of a cop out, to be honest after the more bold "All In" slogan backfired on the team in 2011 - but in the end, it worked. I mean, how could you not appreciate the game while watching a team like the 2012 White Sox?
The 2011 season was driven by Ozzie answering questions about his contract and oozing negativity. The team played like it was already defeated. Robin Ventura brought new life to the South Side. We saw a team that fought hard batt...

With rain forecast, the Chicago White Sox had Jake Peavy pitch a simulated game Friday rather than wait around for the exhibition against the San Diego Padres, which was washed out after three innings.

The White Sox and Chris Sale have recently talked contract extension for the 23-year-old lefty. The question has been asked whether or not it makes sense for the Sox to extend the young ace now, or wait a little bit.
The earliest that Sale could become a free agent is 2017, so the Sox have him under team control for the near future. However, Sale will become arbitration eligible...
The only thing consistent from year-to-year with Alex Rios is his inconsistency. In the last four years he’s had batting averages in the .240s, .260s, .280s, and .300s. I mean, seriously, it doesn’t get less consistent than that. In the last three years he’s had stolen base totals of 34 (career high), 11 (career low), and 23 (just right), and don’t even get me started on...
