The Dodgers and Diamondbacks are currently in the headlines for all the wrong reasons as of late. However, here’s some interesting new tidbit for the 2014 MLB Season. Both NL West teams will be opening next season of Major League Baseball at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Australia, as reported by the Daily Telegraph. The games will take place on March 22 and 23, but both teams will be in Sydney for six days. This is the first time the Aussies will be hosting a competitive baseball game, on the centennial of the Chicago White Sox facing off against a New South Wales selection at the same ground. This is also the sixth time that baseball will be played outside of the US and Canada, with politicians counting on the event to provide a boost to the local and regional economy.
