Today’s game is the strangest I’ve watched in awhile. The Rangers teed off for five home runs, including one from Michael Young. Yu Darvish was perfect through 5.2 innings until a questionable call turned into a walk.  Which unraveled into three runs for Kansas City. But the strangest part of all was the benches clearing no-brawl in the 8th.  Nelson Cruz stepped in and took a pitch to his back.  He turned and started toward the mound.  I have never ever seen Cruz lose his temper (except on his bat the other night).  So if he’s mad, I’m inclined to believe it’s justified.  Or maybe I’m just a Rangers apologist.  Maybe.  Either way, benches cleared, bullpens emptied, but the situation deescalated in a hurry.  And then Young hit a two-run home run.  Yep, really. Young’s home run was the final in a home run party today.  Geovany Soto, Josh Hamilton, Adrian Beltre and Cruz enjoyed it as well. I was glad to see that offense carried over from Sunday in Cleveland.  Maybe young Jurickson Prof
