Chicago White Sox Baseball -  While there were signs of hope and promise during the off-season, much of the chatter was just that, due to the unsure nature of signings like Jose Abreu and Matt Davidson. So far, despite a 7-10 record, the Chicago White Sox offense is booming in Spring Training. They have four or more runs in five of their 10 losses. In 10 of their 19 games, they have scored six or more runs, including tossing up a nine spot three times and 10 runs in a loss against the Angels on Wednesday. White Sox Honor CPD and CFD With Ticket Promo   The Other Danks While John Danks has been at the major league level for the past seven seasons, Jordan Danks has bounced up and down throughout the Sox farm system. While pieces continually have been added, causing Jordan to lose traction in staying in Chicago, Danks has come out this spring to prove a point. Danks is hitting .378 with an obscene 1.263 OPS in 37 AB. Danks’ five home runs and 10 RBI lead the club. It’s unaware if he’ll make the major league roster coming out of the gate however. Presumably, the Sox will only keep 4 outfielders at a time on the 25-man roster, and right now it looks like De Aza, Viciedo, Garcia, and Eaton have the best chance to be those four. Abreu Is The Real Deal While it will still take a little while for Jose Abreu to adjust to the pitching in the American League, he’s already looking comfortable at the plate. Abreu is hitting .308, and has two HR and nine RBI so far. While every scout has basically called Abreu can’t miss, foreign players are an enigma more times than not. So far, it looks as if the scouts will be correct, and that bodes well for the South Siders. Jose Quintana Spring Training Struggles   Heading Into Games That Matter While a lot of Spring Training is split squad games, and getting playing time to people that are on the fence, the offensive output thus far has been impressive. The White Sox have struggled on the mound, especially Jose Quintana. Assuming those pieces fall into place, the Sox have a great chance to make some noise!   Photo: MLB Author informationDanny CheskisSenior Media Editor at Sports MockeryChicago born and raised.
