Could the Dodgers be Contenders in 2012?

With this season looking more and more like the team won’t reach the players, it’s about that time that us fans start to look forward to the next season. With a core of Matt Kemp, Andrew Ethier, Clayton Kershaw, Chad Billingsley and others, this team is solid bullpen pitching and a real #5 hitter away from being tops in the NL West. The biggest issue though is, who will be our owner next season? More and more it’s starting to look like it’s going to be Frank McCourt and the buzz around the league is that no one wants to come here, no matter how good the team might be. So it looks like the team is more than likely going to go look internally if they want to upgrade. My hope is that we have a healthy and useful Uribe, a real third baseman and a decent catcher.
