If you're going to lose a game you might as well lose big right? Day games usually go in the favor of the Padres, just look at how well we normally do on Sundays. But yesterday the Dodgers got the better of Clayton Richard for once. Normally it's the other way around, Richard usually does pretty well against the hated team from the north. And trust me I really hate this team, almost as much as I hate the city. It has some nice things to go see and do, but I got in a car accident up there last week, so now I hate it more. Let's hope the Padres seek some revenge tonight as we play our last game against the Dodgers of the season tonight. Crystal the Monkey Delivers First Pitch Ball, Reads TV Promo in Padres Broadcast Booth (Video)

There's monkey business, and then there's Crystal the Monkey business. Crystal the Monkey, a female capuchin monkey and animal actress, dropped by Petco Park for Thursday's Padres-Dodgers game and was her usual entertaining self. In addition to delivering the first pitch ball to the mound, Crystal joined the Padres' broadcast booth to soak up the night's action...

San Diego Drops Final Two Games, Losing Series to L.A.

The Padres red hot play of August and early September has seemed to cool down as they lost their second straight series, dropping the final two against the Dodgers at Petco Park. The Padres squeezed out a close win on Tuesday only to be blown out by six runs on Wednesday’s matinee. They were unable to come back in Thursday night’s rubber match after again spotting the Dodgers...

The San Diego Padres extended their player development contract with Class AAA Tucson through 2014, the team announced Friday. "We are glad to continue our relationship with Tucson," Padres executive vice president and general manager Josh Byrnes said. "Triple-A is an important level in the development of a player and we value Tucson as a critical part of our developmental...

Annie’s Boobs Threw Out The First Pitch At A Padres Game

In a story that is extremely relevant to my interests, the first pitch at Thursday’s San Diego Padres/Los Angeles Dodgers game at PETCO Park was thrown out by Crystal, aka “that one monkey from everything,” aka Annie’s Boobs from ‘Community’. You may remember Crystal from such roles as Dexter in the Night At The Museum franchise, Donald The Monkey in Paul Blart: Zookeeper...

Hollywood A-list monkey Crystal throws delights fans at Padres game (pics/vid)

On Thursday, a member of the Hollywood elite assumed a starring role at Petco Park as the hometown San Diego Padres hosted the Los Angeles Dodgers. That’s right, Crystal, the superstar monkey who has had roles in The Hangover Part II, Community, Night at the Museum and currently is delighting hundreds, if not thousands of viewers, on [...]

Daily Friar 9.28.12

I guess things come around full circle every once in a while. We all know how awful the season started, then how great we were playing in the middle of the season, and now things have gone bad once again. The Padres have dropped another series, this time against the Dodgers. The sad part is they are not losing close games they are getting blown out. Yes we have young pitchers who...

Daily Friar 9.26.12

I know Huston Street is coming back from injury and is shaking off the cobwebs, but he sure does have a way to make you nervous lately. It’s as if he started taking lessons from Trevor Hoffman and Heath Bell. It must be the Padre way to never get an easy win when it comes to the bottom of the ninth. Then again I guess it’s worth the price of admission to have a little suspense...
