After watching Daric Barton ground into a run scoring double play last night I couldn’t help but shake my head in disgust. Daric Barton is having a terrible year yet seems to play almost everyday.
Barton got off to a slow start last year but ended up really turning it around. I assumed going into this season that he would continue where he left off last year. Then when he started slow I thought maybe he was a slow starter. But since his slow start he is still in the low .200 in batting average and leads the league in errors by a starting first baseman. Now I just know that he is wasted potential. All he has is potential and is more than likely never going to do much with it. He reminds me of Adam Piatt.
The truth is Daric Barton should be sent to the minors or traded if possible. Maybe the poor guy needs a change of scenery but I don’t think he his going to fix his game as a member of the Oakland Athletics.
If the A’s found it necessary to send Kevin Kouzmanoff ...
