So I am posting via my mobile device. Yeah, if that's not bleeding blue I don't know what is. I have no idea how well this is going to work, only one way to find out I guess.
The Cubs and Dodgers are having trouble agreeing on what players should be sent to Chicago. The Dodgers view Dempster as a rental, but the Cubs don't seem to care, and still want solid prospects in return. Mainly Zach Lee, and that is to be believed the main obstacle in getting a deal done. The Dodgers are not budging and refuse to give Lee up for a rental player. Makes sense. Apparently the Dodgers are hoping to use Zach Lee to acquire Chase Headley, a player that is under team control until 2015.
The Dodgers are not giving up on Dempster yet, however, they have switched gears, and now seem to be talking more about Matt Garza, who is under team control through the end of next season. This thing is far from over folks, stay tuned.

First, let me say upfront I've never had a bad in-person autograph experience. Sure, there have been some line shenanigans and long waits, but I've always been able to get the autograph and chill with fantastic people during the waits. My best experience - to answer Fuji's latest contest question - isn't even close, however. Meeting Matt Kemp after camping out for...
I competed my fourth trade with Eric from Manupatches and Mustaches. You can check out the first here, second here, and third here. As you all know, Eric is a Murad T51 connoisseur, and as such he wound up with a few doubles from this century-old set. I put in an inquiry for a pair of these awesome pieces of vintage goodness, and a "V" manupatch later, they were mine.This...
Good thing Chris Capuano pitched well today, because … uh … yeah
Despite reports, the Dodgers are probably still monitoring the Ryan Dempster situation. However, they've now apparently shifted their focus to Matt Garza.
I looked at Dempster v. Garza last month and said either would be a solid acquisition. Dempster would be cheaper (or so we thought) and Garza would cost more. That hasn't changed.
But Garza isn't much better...
Pinch-hitter Matt Treanor had a two-run single in a five-run 12th inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the fading New York Mets 8-3 on Sunday to finish a three-game sweep.
The Dodgers blew a 3-1 lead after the sixth but still won their fourth straight after losing seven of eight and dropping out of first place in the NL West.
An overworked Mets bullpen held the Dodgers to one...
Juan Uribe broke out of a long slump with a homer and four RBIs, Chris Capuano pitched seven solid innings against his former team and the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the staggering New York Mets 8-5 on Saturday.
Uribe hit an early two-run double to end a 1-for-38 slide. He added a two-run homer in the ninth inning off 13-game winner R.A. Dickey, who was making his first relief...
Matt Kemp is giving the Los Angeles Dodgers a much-needed lift.
The New York Mets could certainly use one to avoid spiraling out of the NL East race.
Kemp looks to lead the Dodgers to their third straight win as they continue this three-game series against the struggling Mets on Saturday.
In six games since returning from a hamstring injury that sidelined him six weeks, Kemp is...
NEW YORK (AP) -- Matt Kemp homered early and the Los Angeles Dodgers hammered a struggling Johan Santana before holding off the New York Mets 7-6 on Friday night.
Luis Cruz connected for his first major league home run and the Dodgers finally solved Santana (6-7), who entered 5-0 with a 0.50 ERA in five career starts against them. That included eight innings of three-hit ball in...
The All-Star break is in the rear view and the trade deadline is on the horizon. Talks of the Mets aiming to pick up a reliever to continue as the Mets return home to play host to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
This isn’t the same Dodgers team the Mets handled extremely well on the west coast last time around, as Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier, the two blue centerpieces in L.A., are back...
The Mets look to return to the win column today as they take on the Dodgers for game three of the series. Yesterday’s game was rather “blah” so no point in recapping it. Anyway, Niese gets the start today as he takes on Nathan Eovaldi of the Dodgers:
Niese is 7-4 on the season with a 3.58 ERA over 18 starts and 110.2 innings of work. Jon rebounded really nicely in his last...
The Dodgers top prospect, and the midseason #49 prospect (Baseball America) Zach Lee won't be traded for a rental according to Ken Rosenthal.
Sources: #Dodgers pitching prospect Zach Lee will not be in a deal for a rental such as #Cubs' Dempster. Dodgers need offense more than SP.
